Week 10: The Rainforest
SHAPES would like parents to complete a survey about their physical activity prior to lockdown. It is a very simple survey, that can be accessed by all ages and has just 10 questions asking children about their activity before lockdown. It takes 5 minutes to complete. Please click on this link.
International Olympic Day
Whether at home or school, we can still celebrate International Olympic Day. Held annually on 23 June, Olympic Day celebrates getting active and living the Olympic Values. Move, learn, discover and share to win with our #OlympicDay challenges!
There is still time to take part in the Virtual Sports Day!
With just a few household items you’ll be all set to run your own sports day, wherever you are. We’ve chosen activities that don’t require lots of space or fancy equipment, and don’t involve contact between children. But you are welcome to change the activities to suit your situation, the only thing that matters is that you get active and have fun.
There is a whole school blog on Purple Mash for you to add your pictures.
International Women in Engineering Day
International Women in Engineering Day is an annual day of celebration and awareness for women working in engineering and for the careers available to them. This year’s theme is ‘Shape the World’.
In partnership with the RAF, a FREE online workshops for the event, inspired by the history of flight and space exploration is available. The live session on Tuesday 23rd June is open for anyone to take part in.
