Phone Calls & Face to Face Contact
If your child is new to school, Early Years staff will begin making phone calls home on Friday 10th July. This is to discuss your child.
There will be an additional opportunity for all parents to ask general questions during a Zoom sessions for Reception parents on Monday 20th July @ 6pm and Nursery parents on Wednesday 22nd July @ 6pm.

What is it and what is it for?
A main communication tool that school uses to send texts & emails to the primary contact mobile number and email address which you have given to school.
School operates a cashless system; payment for everything including school dinners, school trips, Out of School Care, school run extra-curricular activities is made via the School Gateway.
Additional Nursery sessions can be booked via the Gateway.
Your child’s account will be visible once they start school.

North West company, Taylor Shaw, are our school meal provider.
School meals are free for all children in classes Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 as part of the Government’s Universal Free School Meal Offer.
Please note it is likely that due to the current COVID-19 situation, school meals in September will be a packed lunch and not a hot meal in the first instance.
Please notify the school office if you would prefer to send your child to school with a packed lunch from home.
The BBC have developed a new site: Tiny Happy People which is to help you develop your child’s communication skills. Explore our simple activities and play ideas and find out about their amazing early development.
PACEY stands for Professional Association for Childcare and Early years and they have some useful advice on starting school.
Should your child have any medical need please speak to Ms Parkin at school who is the named person responsible for Managing Medical Needs.

30 hours funded childcare
All 3 and 4 year old children are currently entitled to up to 15 hours of free early education per week term time. Up to 30 hours of free childcare per week is available if you are eligible. Further Information and to find out how you check if you are eligible please go to 30 hours free childcare – Stockport Council
Please notify the office if you have a 30 Hour Code.
Nursery extra afternoon sessions must be booked and paid for through the School Gateway at least 24 hours before the session.
Any late bookings will need to be booked via the School Office.
Nursery children will be starting school w/c 21st September 2020 with afternoon sessions available from w/c 28th September 2020.
