Welcome to Mellor Primary School

We feel very fortunate to be part of a school that has its origin linked to the Mellor community since 1881. Mellor Primary is essentially a village primary school set in a beautiful rural landscape with a caring family atmosphere combined with the drive and commitment of a school of excellence.

We were delighted to achieve an Outstanding Ofsted Report following our inspection in October 2008 and are proud of our pupils’ achievements, both academic and vocational. Indeed our school moto ‘Making People Shine’ was created by one of our children and has been embraced by the whole school.

To make our school the successful school that it is takes the involvement of the whole community. Children, parents, staff and governors have a genuine pride and love for this special place in which to learn.

On 1 October 2011, Mellor became the first Primary Academy in Stockport.  We believe this will enable us to provide even better outcomes for our children and we are all very excited about the future of our school.
